Roush 94-98 saleen wheels fit on my 89?

would the 94 - 98 ( i think) saleen wheels fit on my 89 saleen? im not too sure because of the dust cap on the front brakes. anyone have any ideas? and if they dont fit, what rims would look good? thanks in advance

If I am not mistaken they will but, you have to use all front offset rims.

Yes,

Scott is correct. YOu need to use all fronts 18x8.5 all the way around. By the book, you don't need to run the dust/grease caps but if you want to just modify them so you can run your caps.

i wanted to run 17's if possible, is there any way? and how can i modify the dust cap? and if i go 18's i gotta run all front rims? ( that doesnt make sense to me, im alil slow tonight)

what do you mean 17"s? are you talking about the 99+ wheels? because the 94-98s are 18"s... i have the 94-98 wheels on mine... all front offset mind you... if you have a set of the 94-98s 18x8.5"s, then go for it... if not, you might wanna try a different route...

will the 18's fit without any clearance issues? and how do i make sure that they all have a front offset? how big of a tire are you running?

They will fit, either way. My car is in my sig, and i have them on both setups of brakes, stock with lincoln rotors and 5 lug drums, and now on the bullit brakes and cobra rear discs.

It's really all about the tire size. I also reversed the rims, i have the fronts on the back, and vice versa.
I flattened the dust cap to get the centercaps on the stock brakes.

Thanks guys,

I just tapped the cap with a hammer, took the round top and made it flat. Took about 10, maybe 15 seconds if you exclude finding the hammer.

I found that on my 8.5's in the back (regular tire, not DR) a 265/35/18 was the perfect tire.
In the front i have a 225/40/18 (i think, i'll check again tommorrow) tire is not quite wide enough for the rim, but it gets stretched, making it fit without rubbing. My car is awefully low, 10+ years on saleen progressive springs.

i got 245s on my front wheels and theyre fine... i think the rears are 265s

cuz if i can do it without rubbing i wanna go with the 18's 265 or 275 in the back and probably 245 in the front. would 275's work in the back? and id need to get 18x8.5 rims right?

Thanks sal, i'm actually going to be in the market for a B car for my GF this summer, she wants a vert, but i dont want her driving a stick. How hard to find are they?

I love my fox, but sometimes i feel like i need a real one, problem is that this one has some setimental value, maybe i'll keep her and just get an S351 next year.

As far as tires on the 8.5's, IMO get the bfg drag radials if it's not a daily driver, my hook like they are a slick on the street after a 10 minute drive. Use a 275 or 265 which are your only choices. It will be tight, but worth it.
My 275's rub under extreme corning, but if i had a panhard bar i would be good.

I've only seen a couple for sale in the last three or so years. Most of the B's are automatics, for obvious reasons. I was pretty fortunate to find mine in a stick. You might want to keep an eye on eBay and Performance Auto Sports web site. They get auto's every now and then. I'll post if I see an auto in the near future. However, they seem hard to come by...
