I’m hoping someone can help with this. The stock sensor is in a terrible position by the oil cooler lines and sandwiched in real tight. Does anyone know if the larger sensor that comes with Autometer gauges will fit? Do I need some kind of adapter? Thanks in advance.

Guessing you cannot utilize the oil sending unit extension on the Fox 5.0's with all that in the way so you may want to use a stainless steel braided line to extend the oil sending unit out of that hole and then just zip tie it down at a convenient location. Granted this requires either buying or building a line but I have seen several cars with this. I have also seen guys use brass fittings from Lowes and the like and snake it up out of that hole.

Thanks for the help. I hadn’t thought of buying brass fittings and going that route!

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

You can buy a pipe that extends out past the cooler lines to mount it there.
