I see the bearing is much different than the wheel bearings in the Stang.. I'm replacing one for a friend tomororw, figured someone might be able to let me know how to do it?

Is it an easy job, any tips/tricks to getting it done? Any special tools needed?

Thanks,

You need a press. I think there is a snap ring on one side, you remove it and then press it out from that end, then press in the new one from the outer race. I am not sure though because I don't have it in my hand.

Ive done plenty of these and a BFH aint gonna do it. I have a 10 ton shop press and its still a pian in the ass. The bearing is pressed into the spindle and the hub is pressed into the bearing. You gotta pull the spindle/hub/bearing as an assembly no matter what. The easiest thing to do is to just take the spindle and the new bearing to your local goodyear or equivalent and have them press out/in the bearing. They will charge $20 or $30 but its money well spent. The only special tools you need are a pickle fork, a big plastic dead blow hammer and an impact is real handy for getting the half shaft nut loose.
