What year airbags will work and steering column and will the wiring harness in the dash the same v-6- v-8 and all the switches in the dash because mine caught fire and burnt the dash and wiring.
Any Mustang years 1994 and 1995 will have the same dash wiring, whether it be V6, GT or Cobra. Any Mustang 1994 to 1998 will have the same airbags and airbag computer. I'm not sure about the 96-98 steering column, so I will only recommend a 94 or 95 steering column.
I believe the dash frame and cover is the same, just a different color. The wiring will not work, however. You need the dash wiring from a 1994 or 1995 vehicle.
The airbag connectors are different for 99-04. I've heard folks just swap the connector to the 94-98 style, but I haven't tried it myself.
The Mach 460 wiring under the dash can be found separately. It's a separate wire cluster that goes from the Mach 460 amp to a connector behind the driver's kick panel. Problem is, it's hard to find.
