Just bought 95 cobra car is bone stock and well maintenance up kept. Having a problem where car starts and primes fine but after a long drive on a hot day it'll either stall and not start back until after cooling for a few hours or when you key off after a long drive it'll do the same. Owner hasn't replaced distributor over 10 years pr so. I did replace ccrm with new from lmr and new tfi was installed top of 2024. Anyone ever run into this????

When it is hot, depress the gas pedal to the floor and try to start it? Does it start?

Have you dumped codes? If you have codes and they are ECT/ACT related, i would change those out first. If you have zero codes, then i would lean ignition related.

It stinks of TFI malfunction to me.

I'm not certain what this sentence means but my distributor is OEM from 1986 and never been rebuilt. I did replace the TFI somewhere in the 2000s due to symptoms like you describe.

I have a spare I plan to rebuild for 'just in case'.
