hey guys 2nd gear is almost gone i posted a few days ago and wystang was the one that replyed to me thanks man. Just wonder what rebuild Kit to go with any idea's Also if 2nd is the only thing i am haveing problems with couldn't it be something simple if so what type of labor charges r we talking to get my 2nd gear back?? Thanks alot.

Most of the tranny shops I have ever dealt with truck or car will hit you with $600 just to drop the tranny, save yourself the$ and pull it out yourself and then take it to a shop.

yeah if you can get it out (which is pretty easy) you save yourself alot of dough. if you just did your 2nd gear im not sure what it would cost but considering you have it out, you should just do the whole thing... entire rebuild with you taking the tranny out and putting it back in id say about $500-600...

Yea true but what a good kit 2 get ?? any ideas r welcomed

Hanlon Motorsports. Even better, get their video and do the rebuild yourself. Other than hand tools the only thing you'll need is a hydraulic press -- about $100 at Harbor Freight. It's really quite easy.

Find a good shop to rebulild it. I had mine done for 550ish taken out the car, installed and rebuilt.

Cool, I just had a price given to me yesterday by the deal ship i work 4 they said 680 just to pull it and look at it and put it back up. Cauf Cauf

rebuilt kit www.astroperformance.com is the cheapest I've found so far.

Yea but how good is it i will spend a little extra on a rebuild kit if i am going to have it done maybe a little more beef.

It's just your average rebuild kit like the one you would get from Hanlon Motorsports or D&D performance.

Ok. I looked at the one at D&D it looks pretty good but do they make like strong one or one's that r made just for heavy use???

Any one know how much HP some of the kits will hold??? looking for kits that will hold 300 to 350 to the wheels Thanks
