Ive have a 1995 gt with a 5 speed and im looking to put my auto trans back in, and was wondering what ecu am i supposed to use? i see that there is a few different ecu's for my year and im not sure whats the difference. Right now it has a T4M0. I couldnt find any sticker on the car so im not really sure what to do.

Any help would be great,

Thanks

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

There is only one ECU for the 5 speed in 95' I would find someone who has an auto and wants to do a 5 speed swap, and just swap parts directly with him, ECU and all. You could probably make some money off the deal.

I actually have everything to do the swap besides the ecu. i see that they list 2 different ecu's for the auto trans. I wasnt really sure if there was a difference between the 2 auto ecu's

The U4P0 is for the auto with 3:27 gears, The W4H0 is the one for the 2:73 gears.

thanks toyman, i just found a tag that says W4H0. So that explains that. My car has differents gears anyways so would it matter which ecu i install back into it??

My guess is the difference between the 2 units will be the shift point map used by the PCM. I don't think it will be an issue. IIRC when I still had the U4P0 PCM and 4:10 gears, the shifts occurred at a lower speed than before the swap and that never bothered me.
