i would assume no unless it says its fir the 4.6L cobra . btw mac is crap, worse then flowmaster. You would get A LOT better sound with bassani or borla (you get what you pay for)

I disagree. I would NEVER buy MAC headers but the Mac off-road H pipe sounds GREAT. Especially with Flows. It’s the classis sound. An x pipe is a lot more raspier and harsh. An off-road H pipe with flows is just killer. I have had H and X pipes on my car and the H pipe with chambered mufflers can't be beat for sound. You will get about 2 more hp with a off-road X pipe and possibly another 2 rwhp with flow through mufflers but as far as sound goes you can't beat a DOHC mod motor at 5K and climbing in revs with an offroad h pipe and 2 chamber flows.

SmithCobra95 is right, Mac stuff is total garbage. If you buy anything from Mac you will quickly regret it, trust us.

you may not have any problums but the build quality isnt comaparble to bassani, borla or any of those great companys. Also I have heard a few stangs and camaros with mac exhaust and they just dont appeal to MY taste casue im used to other products. Buts its all up to what sound you like and how much your willing to pay.

The mac h pipe would just be for some temp horsepower and sound. Once I have enough $, borla or bassani will definately be going on the car.

My question is though, will a 96-98 gt mac o/r h-pipe fit my 97 cobra????????????

Im going to agree with AZ snake. I have the Mac O/R H pipe on my 96 cobra with flows, and I love the sound. Im always getting compliments on how it sounds. I wouldnt trade it for even one of the bigger names like bassani or borla. just my opinion

I agree with the build quality that the others mentioned but for something like an off-road H pipe it's really not going to make a difference unless you live in a high rust area. I live in AZ and have absolutely no problems with rust. I would never put anything but a quality header on my car. I have heard of WAY too many problems with motor damage and Mac headers. If the others made an H pipe I would be game but they only make x pipes and I don't like the raspy x pipe sound. the H pipes will give you that Mustang patented sound.
