96 cobra crazy sound

I have a 96 cobra and when I'm in gear rollin it makes a weird sound almost like the sound of power steering but louder more of higher pitched squeek. Then I push in the clutch it stops. but when I'm in 3rd, 4th and 5th it doesn't make the sound at all. Its just in 1st and sometimes 2nd. but the squeek isn't effecting my performance at all its just annoying the hell out of me. Its hard to explain but if anyone has an ideas let me know, thanks

if its a wining noise and increases in volume as u increase RPMs, i would say its the tranny wining. my 3650 wines bad... but im installing the TKO 600 this weekend or next, and i heard that the TKO is somewhat of a loud tranny too.. oh well.
