96 Cobra with new T56 6 spd ZOOM!

NEED HELP!
I recently installed a new T56 6 speed on my 96 cobra. I am somewhat mechanically inclined so I took on the task myself. The clutch I had in the car before the install was an upgraded clutch and an upgraded aluminum flywheel. My problem is that the new tranny is not fully disengaging I think. When I tighten the bolts on the tranny housing the clutch fork feels like it is slightly engaging. Then when I go to test drive it the clutch does not engage until the pedal is almost all the way out/released. The tranny even slips a little when it is cold so I am pretty sure the clutch is binding up somehow and not fully engaging the tranny. Has anyone heard of this problem? Is there a different clutch fork that I should have used? I used all the stock fork etc. from my stock T45 5 speed.
PLEASE HELP!

Sounds like you need a firewall adjuster and/or quadrent. Everyone says dont get an adjustable cable, but I have never used one so cant say if they suck or not.

Wait so you used your old clutch with the new trans?? The t56 has a different spline count, that wouldn't work well at all LOL... I'm guessing the clutch fork is slightly different, buy a new one - and as LaserSVT mentioned, a firewall adjuster and quadrent would be a great idea. Also, like he was saying adjustable cables are BAD, they are weak and snap quite often. Maximum Motorsports has very high quality quadrant/adjuster and quad/adjuster/cable packages available:

28 spline

My car has a 28 spile and the tranny has a 28 spile. The tranny works and goes through all gears without a problem (I have driven it about 25 miles on the new tranny T56) so I know that is not an issue. The issue is that the clutch fork is somehow binding up in the tranny. I have a clutch quadrant adjuster already from my old mods, but that only takes the slack out of the clutch right? There is no slack in the clutch. The problem is that the fork is not sliding all the way back to disengage. Therefore the tranny slips under heavy load and the clutch does not engage (move the car) until it is almost let all the way out. Does anyone else have any suggestions or am I using my quadrant adjuster incorrectly?
Thanks
