It's unlikely your driveshaft is bent, but it is quite possible that you didn't reinstall it the same way it came out. The factory driveshafts are not balanced all that well, and they need to be installed as indicated by marks on the driveshaft. If the driveshaft was installed out of phase, it will vibrate.

Take the drive shaft out and rotate it 180*. Also check your tranny mount.

U-joints?? might have a bad one.. you would be suprised how the car acts if one is bad or if the u-joint flange on rear axle isnt tight enough.

so i checked everything out...rotated drive shaft and the u-joints.....still vibrates.....i also noticed that when i start up the car it vibrates right before it idles down....sounds like i might have bad tranny/torque convertor? even if its not in gear if i give it a lil gas before it comes back to idle it vibrates

Are the motor mounts and transmission mounts old/OEM? If they are original they are 14 years old and almost all V8 Mustangs are driven hard anyways, Urethane motor mounts from Energy Suspension made my car ride smoother and was very noticeable!
