96 mustang differential fill plug

I want to change the differential fluid on my 96 mustang gt but I can't find the fill plug. There is no fill plug on the differential cover and I wouldn't know how to fill it back up if i drain it. Can anyone tell me the location of the fill plug?

The fill plug should be on the driver's side of the housing itself, facing the front of the car, and can be removed with a 3/8" drive ratchet.

Ok thank you. And what differential fluid would you suggest? I planned on putting mobil 1 75w140 with a bottle of friction modifier.

royal purple is the way go, with the fm aswell mine loves it..

I used Mobil 1 without friction modifier in my diff, and it has never given me trouble. You don't need to use friction modifier with Mobil 1 gear oil; it says so right on the bottle.
