96+ Spindles On A Lowered Car?

Hello, so I just found today that there is a difference between 94-95 spindles and 96+ regarding tie-rod location. Yesterday I bought a rear end and front spindles off a 97 unaware of this.. However, my car has a 2" lowering kit on it, which would put the tie rod back near the correct location right? Just wondering how bad my bumpsteer is going to be

There are bumpsteer kits.

If you have a stock or stock-dimension K-member, it's going to be bad if you don't correct for it. But correcting for it can be tough using bumpsteer kits alone, because the desired location for the outer tie rod end is pretty much exactly where the steering arm is. You might consider a bumpsteer kit AND lowering the rack with offset bushings.

I have a pair of 94 spindles and a pair with the later, straighter ends. @MFE92 is thinking what I have been wondering with the rack offset bushings too. This may all add up to close to straight ends and rack. But until you set it up with weight on it, we are probably all in the dark on it.

It would most likely be easier and cheaper to just grab a set of 94-95 Spindles.

Ride height of the car has virtually nothing to do with which spindles to use....

Good read. I havent had this mustang long enough to understand how the front suspension is all set up. Im used to straight axle 4wd trucks that are very straightforward. Lol. I may have to throw these on for the time being, but ill pull a 94-95 set of spindles and use them before the car starts getting driven a lot
