Ryan, i would recommend sticking with the stock track width in the rear. This will allow you to run the newer wheels with the different offset and be able to run wider tires than you would with the extended axles without hitting the fenders as much.

See all this thought process...that's why I decided to just find cool wheels for four lugs instead of paying for 5-lugs, and Then buying 5-lug wheels. Yet again I have no money!
I dont know if the 05 wheels would work, different backspacing.

It will tuck it in more, the 05 and Newer Stangs have more Backspacing than SN95s, MM&FF installed them on a car with 94-98 Axles and it looked great!
If you use the 96-04 spindles up front, along with sn95 track disks out back, you can run the 05+ 17" wheels, or 18's with a spacer.
The '05 wheels have a deeper offset, so they sink in.
Cheapest front setup is the Mark 7 front rotors. They are like $40 each from autozone. Basically they are the same as stock 5.0 rotors except they have a 5th lug. Downside is not all wheels will fit this setup. I am not sure what wheel you have picked out for your car yet.
$220 isn't bad for what you are getting. An upgrade however would be to look for a 99-04 front brake setup. Grab the rotors (better quality) calipers (2-pistom PBR's) and lines from a GT or V6 and then buy some 94-95 spindles. The newer brakes bolt onto the older spindles with slight clearancing. The difference in performance is definitely worth it. You can find the newer brakes cheap. I bought a set of calipers off an '02 for $15 for a friends 5.0.
Also, 94-95 spindles do add some track..about 5mm worth.
You should consider upgrading the MC and booster and prop valve as well. '93 cobra mc/booster, install the prop valve plug and run an adjustable....even with drums
do you know if bullets would work with the lincon rotors? is that all i would have to change to hace a cheap 5 lug in the front? JUST the 5 lug rotor or?
im not really looking to get it to stop any better...all im looking for is a way to run my favorite wheels (17 inch Bullets)
so that being said....it looks like ranger axles and drums will do for the rear end..
now for the front......im still un clear with the mark 7 rotors...i looked on sn95 brakes and the olny thing it says about is the mark 8 rotors...
ive heard that people have had to beat in there shock tower to get that booster/ mc to fit? nonthing i want to do.
so with bullets from a 05+ i can run a wider tire then with bullets from a 94-04 without rubbing? i though that the 05+ moved the whell out and made it stick out of the fender wells?

Im pretty sure bullitts will work, but I know that you wont be able to run a centre cap because the dust cap for the Mark VII rotors sticks out too far. If I were you, I'd buy the Sn-95 stuff for up front... why go the cheap route when you can do it right the first time? Also, I personally wouldnt consider running the S-197 stuff because not many people have tried it so you dont know how everything is going to fit. (Also the S-197 wheels dont look as cool cuz you dont get the dish on them)
In my opinion, your best bet would be 94/95 hubs/spindles/brakes up front with ranger/aerostar axles in the rear. I have this setup and I fit a 255/40/17 up front and a 275/40/17 in the rear with no rubbing, and thats on a 9" rim instead of an 8" bullitt, although I had to remove the quads.
'93 cobra mc is smaller, so no beating necessary.
Mark 8 brakes are a different chassis, so you must be confusing mark 8 with mark 7. You onlyneed just the rotors, but they won't fit bullitt wheels. Correction, that may fit but you definitely wont be able to run the center cap. You may need a 1/16" spacer as well.
Do it right the first time. You won't regret it.
Then if you ever get bored one day and want 13" cobra brakes, it will only take you an hour to swap the parts on and bleed the brakes and be driving on them![]()
