Just got a 97 cobra with 50,000 on the clock. Are there any recalls on the heads like the 98 did? anything else i should know? Thanks. Also i live right next to Valley Forge Park, are there any car meets coming up? If anyone knows that would be awesome.

i lucked out when i got the car... it was a middle aged man that owned it and barley drove except on weekends. Runs incredibly strong, no squeeks, no valve tapping nothing, throw out bearing and clutch only have 4 miles on it. My brother bought a brand new 98 cobra in 98 and it looks just as good as his did when he bought it. Thanks for the info!

There has been no recall on cylinder heads of any cobra. The only cylinder head issues is with the "ticking" noise on the 03-04 cobras but thats a tsb.

The cobra's werent putting out 315 like it said somewhere around 280 so ford did a recall on them. Go to fords website if you have a 98 cobra and type in your VIN# and it will tell you if your cobra is one of them.

Your thinking of the 99 cobras, not the 98s. The 99s had the recall for replacing the intake manifold, cat-back, and pcm recalibration.
