I am looking at beefing up my supercharged cobra and need a little advice....this is what I am thinking about doing: forged rotating assembly, s/c friendly cams, and porting the heads/intake???

Is this a good idea...any advice would be appreciated, Thx

I would think it would be a good idea because you are strengthening the motor. The cams will give you a few more ponies maybe more with the S/C. Get a good tune is a given.

I have 8lbs of boost on a stock block/heads/cam/intake. My tuner says a change of pulley will give me 14lbs, but I need the methonal injection which he can install to cool the boost. Last time I visited him was in 2006, and he told me he tuned 30+ 96-01 Cobras with the meth and they all made 520-530RWHP with a stock motor. The methanol cools inlet temps up to 135*.

Oh yeah and porting the heads and intake will give you more power too. Usually on Naturally Aspirated Cobras the ported intake and shortened runners is worth 15-30HP depending on other mods, and ported heads can be worth 40-60HP again, depending on cams and other mods. These numbers will always be higher with any amount of boost. You will be on a good track!!
