Hi guys- I am needing some help. My brother has a 1997 mustang with a 4.6l engine. For the past several months he has had an intemitent no start problem. Today he was getting ready to head back to college and the car will not start. It cranks fine and you can hear the fuel pump kick in. I put my spark tester on it and he has no spark at all. I have checked all the fuses and checked for loose connections. I am a diesel mechanic by trade and am not familiar with the Ford electrical system. Can anybody out there possibly give me a few ideas on where to look to find his problem? What kind of voltage should I have going to each of the igniton modules and between what wires ? Also where do the modules get there power from? And if you have any other suggestions I would greatly appreciate them. Thanks, Paul

Hey man check crank position, no crank position no spark. Common problem. If not that you may be looking at a pcm fault. Hard to diagnose a crank no start concern without looking at the car personally. Anymore ? just ask .
