just purchased a 97 gt. got it cheap. however it has a issue with the motor. its a 90 5.0 installed but not wired up. guy lost interest I guess. so how can I make this work? I plan. oj using a 97 f150 ecu and harness with all f150 sensors but not sure what needs to be c hanged on the motor any ideas. the truck 302 uses a disty as well.

If the wiring on the car is intact and untouched, yank the 5.0 and drop in a 99+ PI 4.6. Should be practically plug and play.
Yeah, not really sure how far he got in the 5.0 swap. Sounds like it has the correct K-member, exhaust, fuel and everything else done? If he has done everything except for the EEC, then you might as well keep the 5.0. You'll have to find the wiring diagrams for the F150 and make sure every pin matches your harness and that every wire on the harness goes where the wiring diagram says it is suppose to.
