97 & up explorer lower and egr

I searched on this several times and just never found what I was looking for, so here goes my question:

I just installed a GT-40 intake (upper from a '93 Lightning and lower from an Explorer). The lower has no EGR port between the runners, nor does it have a place for the ACT sensor. I have already read some threads that state I need to move the ACT to the airbox, I just haven't done this yet. Now my question is about the EGR. I bought an EGR delete plate, but of course I get the check engine light since the EGR has been removed. I don't have a tuner yet either. I have at my disposal a 75MM EGR spacer with an EGR on it (I upgraded to a 70mm TB and C&L 76 MAF and tube at the same time) and i was wondering if I could place this EGR Spacer on, plug in the EGR and get rid of the check light until I get a tunner.

I have read several threads about leaving the EGR on, and if I had to do it over again I think I probably would but I would need a different GT-40 lower.

I can't connect the water tubes to the EGR spacer, since the lower doesn't have the provision for it, nor is there any exhaust gases hitting the EGR since the lower doesn't have the provision. So would there be ill effect to putting the spacer on, and connecting the EGR back to the computer even though no exhaust gases would be circulating through it?

I do have another question for you if you don't mind. I've read your write up about moving the ACT to the airbox and you give some measurements of where to place the sensor, but my question is, do you have a picture or diagram of the correct placement? I wasn't sure from which corner you were taking your measurements from.
