Hey guys. I know this subject has been beat to death but I can't seem to find any useful information in the search function.

Have any of your guys got a 98 Cobra cluster to work in your cars? I know the wiring diagram is different as for a couple of wires. Just need to know which wires to swap.

A tuturial would also be nice.

Thanks kids.

I have one from a 96 cobra in my 94 gt...it is to my understanding that you can use a 96-97 cluster, but not a 98+

Here is the pinout diagram i used though, just in case you wanted to try.

98 cluster in a 94/95 works!

Well after about 2 hours of wiring swapping, I finally got it working-perfectly.

GTPhreak: Yes the 96/97 pinout is different than the 98. I had to search long and hard for a 98 pinout to get it work, but it works flawlessly with absolutely no problems.

If anyone needs help with their swap, please feel free to email me or PM me.

Thanks again guys!

Yeah it works fine. Here's a quote from Blueneonman explaining: "The tach works by "beats". As long as you swap the electronics along with the gauges, it works just fine. Same with the speedo - you need the electronics."

I noticed that the tach is way more accurate than my 94 one.

99+ gauges won't work. In one of my posts from Corral, somebody said that the EEC controls the digital odometer in the 99+.

Sorry about my inbox being full. I've deleted what I don't need. If you need to send again go ahead.
