Aright guys heres the dealio, I get the car ready to sell it and this has to happen to me, I get the car in tip top shape and it starts misfiring. . . alright heres the deal I checked all the plugs and regapped them all and it has new plugs on it, everything SHOULD be good. but its not. . . I think the problem is that blue oval on the back of the car that says FORD on it. . . I swear I call the dealership and they say ohhhhhhhh we don't know you'll just have to keep trying diff parts we can suggest anything. . . . It did this before it's fine if I take it up all the way to the rev limiter if i wanted if i dont floor it, but somethinga bout OPEN THROTTLE, when you floor it only, anything above like 4500-5000 rpms misfires, almost like its gurgling something, it has fairly new o2s 2, and sometimes it will go away temporarily if you celan the mass air meter out with brake cleaner, after u get out of the car it smells really bad like something burning, i've checked all the harnesses and wires tho and everythings fine I DONT GET IT any ideas

i am having the same problem. it is fine if i leave it out of gear an bring it through the rpm's slowly, but if i am moving and i floor it in first then a around 5500-5800 rpm it starts back firing as if the rev limiter has kicked in early. i have no idea what it is. it doesn't seem to be as bad in the other gears. i hope for both of us that someone has some input. good luck.
