What kind of range do you get with your remote? Even with a brand new battery I get like 5-10 feet!! Anyway to increase range, or is this normal with everyones remote?

Thanks.

Mine works up to about 40 feet away, but I have also had to hit the button 2 or 3 times standing right next to it.

If I'm in front of the car, I have to be like 5 feet away. From the rear of the car or the side, maybe 15 feet. Sometimes I have to be next to the damn thing. This is one of those things I wanted to change and now that you mention it I think I will. I know that with after market alarms and remote garage doors you can add extra wire to the one that's their and it DOES increase the range. I wonder if we can do something like that to the box in the trunk. Just in case you didn't know, that's where the box that receives the signal is. I'll post my results tomorrow after I do it.

No dice guys. There is no wire that is easily identifiable. I'm going to look in my Chilton and see if there is an antena wire/lead in the wiring diagrams.
