My buddy has a 99 and hes looking for a good set of headers. He will probably stay with shorthand but I'm also looking into long tubes for my 00 roush 2v. What do you guys reccomend for both?
Stick with LT's and mac/slp's are the ones ive heard of that allow you to drop the tranny with out taking off the passengers side header, which is a huge time saver for transmission work.
I have BBK and wasn't pleased with there fitment initially to be honest. They are long tubes of course I agree do that or nothing else. Helped a good bit in conjunction with the SC. I have heard great things about MAC. Does anyone know if MAC makes equal length? THat would be ideal.
But what is the weight savings vs. the factory cast iron manifolds?
I only ask because I'd like to lose the weight of the cast iron factory manifolds but not lose the factory ground clearance - it snows here and I drive all year round. Power issues are secondary compared to not getting stuck in a few inches of snow because my headers hang low.

pretty substantial, but then again do you really want to go through all that work and spend the cash for 10 lbs? lol
They are lighter but only n respect to each other the total effect that will have on your driving experience is slight if not noticable at all.
