I wanted a Black Cobra coupe and looked for OVER A YEAR within a 200 mile raidus of where I live. I was in no rush, I didnt want to settle.
I paid $16,000 for mine with 36,000 miles on it, that was 9 months ago. Bone stock, mint interior, a few small scratches on the outside. It was a 1 owner car.
That sounds like an ok deal to me depending on condition. Take it for a spin, check for leaks, do a carfax and look it over real good. If its a one owner and looks clean, not bad. On the other hand if its already had 3 owners and the interior is ragged out, I'd pass.
My experience is you can tell alot about how a car was treated by what kind of shape the interior is in.
