99 Cobra tranny removal help needed!?!?!

Little help here if ya could? I'm pulling the tranny (stock tremec w/ 40K) to replace the throw out bearing. I have got all the bolts out but the top two. Can get to the driver side top bolt, but the swivile socket pops off when I go to back it out. No idea how to get to the other one. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Whenever I pull them out I use around 36" extension with a swivel socket attached to a 1/2" impact cause I have air tools at my disposal. I'm sure if you attached a breaker bar to something like this it would easily get the top bolts loose, I think they are only tightned to around 65 ft .lbs.

Like said above. I use around 3-4 foot of extensions. I have pulled mine 3 times twice for the throwout bearing being noisy and have never had a problem. Just use long extensions and you should be able to do it.

same thing here. 3-4 foot ext. when you try to actually pull the trany out. if you lift up on the front of the motor it will be a lot easier to slide out. same for install. just lift enough to angle the back of the motor down.

take out rear tranny brace and drop the the rear of trany down as far as you can and you will have no promblem getting to them.
