I have a slightly modded 99 Cobra convertible that doesn't seem to be putting down as much power as it should, in my opinion- With my G-tech meter I am only showing 260-270 at the rear wheels with my mods. Seems a little low to me. Weren't they supposed to make more than this on the dyno after the fix in stock form?

I bought the car used about a year ago, and it has had the "fix", sticker is on the radiator tank. My intake doesn't have any signs of being fixed (either of the colored dots on the manifold) and I wonder if someone swapped it out with a non-acid or extruded intake. It only has 37,000 on it, and compression is fine. Was wondering if anyone else thought that this seemed a little low-

Thanks, Adam

With the mods in your sig, you should be putting down more than that. In stock form after the fix, you should already be putting down 270 at the wheels. So, I also think your numbers are a bit low. Get it dynoed somewhere and make a comparison. I'm willing to bet you'll get a higher HP number.

My 99 made 267RWH after the fix with a K&N FIPK, and Roush side exhaust. I don't know if the Roush setup helped or hurt RWH. It made me wonder if the fix really was anything more than hype...

First of all, I wouldn't put much faith in a G-tech rwhp measurement (no offense).
Get your cobra on a real dynometer (dynojet, if at all possible, but a "mustang dyno" will suffice) and then let us know how much power the car is putting down on the rollers.
My guess is that with your current mods you are somewhere in the 280-295rwhp (SAE) range...
