I found a 99 cobra for $10,700. It has 61,000 miles. Before I go look at it, what are some things that goes bad on it like for example the 6.0 Powerstroke has head gasket problems injectors etc. what problems does a 99 cobra have?
It might help if you explained what your plans and expectations are for the car. IE to use as a starting point for modifications or as a garage queen/weekend run about?
Do you work on your own cars? I ask because the getting work done on the DHOC motor can be $$.
Got to ask. Have you priced and test drove a 2003-2004 Cobra? I got to believe that if you drove both cars......
But in all seriousness. IMO one of the biggest issues with the Cobra is all of the modifications done by the amateur Boyd Coddington out there. It's has to be tough to find an unmolested copy out there.
The next problem has to do with how the typical owner drives (abuses) their car. By that I mean that on average a Cobra leads a tougher life than the average Mustang.
