Want to buy the right stall converter for my app. Please Help.
I have a 99 Gt, SQ2 Vortec SC w/X 2 1/2 off road pipes, Strait though Exhaust, 3 inch power pipe. I will be adding the Vortec power cooler. Question is.... What Stall converter do i want? Car is used for daily driving fun and horse play racing, not any serious racing. . I am a contractor and drive my truck most of the time. The car is sluggish off the light then builds. So... I was thinking a 2500 to 3000. Is this right for most every day driving but quick build on boost at WOT? Thank you.

Definitely minimum of 3000. if it were me I think I'd get a 3500 stall & definitely a set of 3.73 gears

Thanks for the help. After reading and your replys I am having a 3000 stall built by a michine shop here localy. Price will be 350.00. They will have it for me monday. I feel a 2500 will be to low and a 3500 would not give me the driveablity i would like. This car is not for strip racing. Just Horse play... you know... eating the local Vets. :} My vortec Hits its power band at 80 percent boost and climbs quickly at 3200. So this should give me a out of the hole at WOT, but still keep the rear end "mostly" on the ground. Any coments would be always welcome. Also i have my dealers xtr file for my dyo tune and can ajust the trans peresures for the shifts as i please. I have a agressive trans tune right now. Any one out there running close to my set up, please let me know how your Baby runs. Agian.. Thank you to all.
