Ok.. I installed a powerdyne bd11a with 928 race rebuild(9psi). At the same time I deleted smog, added msd 6530 (dig prog ignition with 2 bar map sensor so I can ue as a btm)(i have not programed anything in yet) and some other stuff that I doesn't apply to these questions. I have a 12:1 used vortec fmu from a trusted buddy that owns a speed shop so I'm counting on that it's working right. New bosch blow off valve.. I was already running a 255lph I got on ebay.. according to the seller, its a walbro clone. I have an adjustable fpr but it doesn't look like the vortec, bbk, etc that I've seen.. no name on it. It was on the intake assembly when i bought as a used package. When I screw it clockwise all the way tight my fp reads around 15 psi with the fmu hooked up. I have stock fuel rails and 24# injectors.
I've got the btm and the fmu sharing a vac line from the main tree. My msd map sensor and fpr share the small line off my performer rpm intake.

Here is the problem. No matter where I set the fpr my car always cuts out while on the road (under a load) when I get on the throttle. When it is in my garage I can rev without a prob. I'm not sure if this is from lack of fuel or not using the btm yet.. or something else I'm not thinking of. I've backed the timing off like crazy(running 5 degrees with no jumper plugged in) and this helps, but its so sluggish I think it would effect how much fuel is needed too. I'm really new to all of this and learning everything.
I don't have a airfuel gauge yet, and just got my msd and laptop working together. While at IDLE my MSD gauges on my laptop show 6psi? wtf Does anyone know why it would read this with the 2 bar map?
Should I run the jumper wire plug on the distributor harness if I'm running 9psi with a dig btm?
Anyone have any btm timing graphs that have a similar setup I can use as a template? Even advice on when I should start pulling back timing and how much at what psi? what kind of timing should I be running? I know im asking a lot here guys but I am out of money totally to throw at this thing right now and need to get this baby on the road!
Thanks!!
