a/c delete question (vac line)

I pulled most of my A/C off when the motor came out and am wondering if I can pull the vac line that goes into the firewall. I believe it controls the dampers on the A/C but am concerned if it also controls the heat. Anybody have any info on this? Its the small hard line that goes in near the glovebox, I believe it tees off the Tab/Tad selanoids.

The vacuum lines also work the heat, vent and A/C (HVAC)
