a/c delete?

do i have to buy the delete kit or could i just buy a short belt and just bypass the a/c all togther?

You will need either the kit that puts a pulley in the place of the A/C. Or the better option is the FMS kit that moves the P/S pump up to where the A/C was. You need one of those kits in order to be able to route the belt.

You can't just run a shorter belt and bypass it because then the tensioner won't work and you won't be able to put the belt on.

mavericks right,you just need to get an a/c delete kit.mine's a march kit,i had to shim the bracket to get it to quit chewing my belt up but that may have just been a fluke so i'm not going to down the entire company or there product lines.it shouldn't be hard to find a reasonable kit on the market to fit your price range.

was it out of alignment that much to chew up your belt? I had that happen to me on the highway... not fun.

it ate my new belt up in less than 2k miles.i had to add a very small extra shim at the bottom where it bolts to the waterpump and so far so good i haven't had any belt residue all over the bracket anymore.

i bought the ford racing bracket on summit for like 40 bucks, thats less than 2 belts....... the stock dticker shows it being able to bypass, but i dont trust anyone who's only 14 about my car...haha

Ac Relocation

Does anyone know of a kit that will put the alternator in place of the AC? I have a single turbo car and the turbo is getting quite hot... melted one alt so far... Would like to prevent this by moving the alt to the location of the AC. I plan on getting rid of the ps as well so any ideas?
