Ok guys here is a deal
Last year I take out smog pump b/c bearing was bad so I put short belt without smog , than month later I put another short belt so I pass A/C , before my A/C was workin good , so with new short belt I passed A/C and every time when I turn knob for cooling/heating (thats know on right side) on mix , def , a/c norm and a/c max , high speed fan kick in, but not for long , for some reason I can't turn on high speed fan like 8 months now , but I already have switch for high speed in car so no problem for that ,
Yesterday I was thinkin why I don't put beck my old belt so I can have a/c for little bit , I installed but A/C clutch and high speed fan DOESN'T come on and air is normal , not coold like one with A/C on
So did anybody know whats wrong , I checked fuses and wires to A/C compressor but nothing

check and see if its charged.. could be low. Go to walmart or somewhere and you can get a gauge that will plug on the low side of your a/c line. Its on the driver side.

do you have power at the low pressure switch(on accumulator)??

with A/C on do you have power on other side of that switch??

if you don't have power on both side of switch then either you are low on freon or the switch is bad.

if you have power on both sides of switch do you have power at CCRM(pin #23 Bk/Y wire).

a friend of mine had the same problem on his cobra and it turned out to be the switch metioned above. Id swap it out if you have access to a junk yard stang. just to eliminate it for sure..

Bybass the switch unplugg it and run a wire or even a paper clip from one pin to the other the clutch should engage even if its low or not. if it does turn on its the switch.

Hey guys you don't have to buy new one from Ford dealer , you can go on junk yard and get one from 96-97 Taurus or Sable or 97 Escort or Tracer , they are all same but different numbers , I talk with my friend who work at Ford dealer and he show me that ours 94-95 GT Stangs have same CCRM and they sale under different number , I already try that like month ago when I have some strange problem with idle and with engine (turn out I had busted intake valve spring keepers, retainer and sleve on cylinder #4)

seth,
how much did the junkyard ccrm cost you? since my ac doesn't work, my freon is full, and i have power to both switches, the ccrm seems to be the only suspect left.

anyone know what they cost new from ford?

thanks

Hey guys, what is the ccrm? My understanding is power from the controls to the switch to some diode to the compressor. If I have power to the switch and not the compressor and the compressor is full, what is the culprit? Where is this diode?

if no cold air is coming out, it could be a number of things. AC clutch and compressor could be bad, accumulator is messed up, evaporator could be clogged. gotta take each one out until you hit the problem

I don't think you get me. I get no power (voltage) to the compressor. If I use a 12v source directly to the compressor, the clutch kicks on. The low pressure switch has power to and through it. Something is in between the low pressure and the compressor that is preventing from getting power. I don't know what it is though.

Anyone?
