a/c problem, need help!

Ok, haven't been using the air for the last couple of days because my drivers side window quit working and I couldn't get it to go back up, got my window fixed today, and now the a/c won't work, it just blows hot air.

When I got home today, I popped the hood, with the car running, and had the a/c on max and turned to the coldest spot possible, and it was idling kinda weird, so i shut air off and it stopped. SO i turned the a/c back to max, and got out and looked under the hood at the a/c compressor. I noticed at like 2 or 3 second intervals the black triangle looking bracket attached to the a/c pulley would spin for a second or two, then it would stop...then repeat the cycle.

anyone know what the problem might be? It has 86,xxx miles on it, and never had any problems till now.

Note: Saturday I loaded a base tune from Joe @ Trick Tunes so I could datalog my settings with my SCT Xcal2. When I was done I ran into town to get my oil changed (and I watched the entire oil change and I know they didn't mess with any of the a/c stuff), then I came back and I reflashed the car back to stock.

Any ideas?

Sounds like either (a) the low pressure cycling switch is bad or (b) your freon charge is too low.

One quick check is to disconnect the cycling switch (it is on the drier on the passenger side near the firewall, switch has a connector with two pins). Use a jumper and short the connector across the two pins and see what happens. If the compressor comes on solid, and you now get cold air, replace the cycling switch. If the compressor comes on solid, but still no cold air, you are most likely low on freon...
