a/c question.

i want to keep the a/c in but do i need to keep the smog pump in also?

The smog pump is there as a "furnace" to pump fresh air to the cats.

Without it, if you have cats, they can/will prematurely go bad.

If you don't have cats, you can remove the system; but you may get a Check Engine Light.

If you remove it, you can either get a delete pulley or a shorter belt.

To be explicit, the AC and A.I.R. (Smog) systems are not related.
