A/C removal with A/C delete pulley, A/C Condenser and line questions

Hi.

I am going to remove the A/C and other related parts.

I am trying to figure out if i have to remove the front bumper to remove the A/C condenser? and other related lines?

What do i have to all remove? Is there anything i need to plug? Please let me know the correct steps to do this.

Does my heater still going to work after removing the A/C?

Any pictures of how to get it done will be very helpful.

You don't have to remove the bumper; you will need to tilt the radiator enough for the condensor to slip out though. It would be wise to disconnect the negative battery terminal to disengage the SRS (airbags). I also had the A/C system purged before removing. Use the fuel line/A/C disconnect tools to disengage the A/C lines from the condensor. Your heater will still work. The A/C lines to the back of the compressor are held in by a single bolt. I had some issues getting the long compressor bolts past the frame but they came out with some finnagling. Have a good grip on the condensor when you unbolt it; it's pretty heavy when you're under the car. Don't waste your time on the A/C delete pulley; just get a shorter belt. I did buy the pulley thinking I could use the same belt; but the pulley didn't line up so I ended up buying a shorter belt anyway. The only open lines were the the 2 A/C outlets coming through the firewall on the passenger side. I just taped over these to keep crap out. No pics; but if you're going to do more with your car, I'd suggest a Haynes or Chilton Repair manual. They provide pretty good instructions (with pics) for working on the cars (of course used as a last resort when you can't figure it out)

Even with all the AC in place and no charge, your defrost won't work. Ask me how I know. lol

The worst (for me, since I never drive my car in the winter) is when you catch a thunderstorm and it's really coming down. The temp. difference means the windows fog instantly, and without the A/C assisting to dry the air, you can't get rid of the humidity.

Don't waste your time on the A/C delete pulley; just get a shorter belt. I did buy the pulley thinking I could use the same belt; but the pulley didn't line up so I ended up buying a shorter belt anyway.

Really? I already got one from ford racing. was yours ford racing one also? how come it didn't line up?

dont spend money on a delete pulley.
simply run a shorter belt and run it straight from the PS pump to the WP

Um...No! I want to replace it with delete pulley if possible. I heard some people ran into belt issue with-out delete pulleys.

I don't want my belt stretching or snapping. So and i already have the pulley so i have to use it.

I want some people's opinion on ford racing's pulley why it won't line up...I just want to be prepared.
