Yesterday on the way home from work, the A/C turned off on its own. The vents were still blowing, but it was not cooling the air at all. I turned the A/C on and off several times hoping this would help and it finally started getting cold again after about 20 minutes. I dont know what to look for since it was working when I got home.

If anyone ha any ideas I would appreciate it. I'm in phoenix and its supposed to be 113 again today. I dont want to be driving around without the A/C !

Mine did that and i took it to Ford. They changed the constant control relay

$535.07.

The AC did stop working after I went WOT. Kind of like the relay turned off the A/C when I floored it and it never came back on. I believe the Constant control relay controls this... Does anyone know how much the part costs outside of a dealership?

My car did the exact same thing about two weeks before my warranty ran out...so I was lucky in that respect. It's the only warranty work I ever had to do. Mine also cut out intermittently and ran a bit rough, is yours doing that too?

It was running smooth when the A/C went out. I didnt drive my mustang yesterday or today. Its been to hot to risk going without the A/C. I'll take her for a spin tonight and see what happens.

try refilling it..... you can pick up a can from autozone, and put it right in the service port of the a/c
