Just had a couple of questions for you guys, i'm more of a chevy guy myself and don't know too much about the ford motors but wouldn't mind learning a few things. Anyways my buddy is considering buying a 94GT with the 5.0 in it, and it already has a few mods done and supposedly laid down 348rwhp, which seems a little high as to what else i have seen while browsing around. It already has 351 heads ported and polished with stock size valves, Lunati cam, lifters, shorty headers, off road H pipe w/flowmasters, underdrive pulleys, 4.10 gear, stock intake. Do you think it really puts down 348 with these mods, it's a automatic as well. Also if my buddy was to get this car what would you guys recomend do different with this setup, he would have roughly 1500-2000 grand to work with, i was thinking a set of aftermarket heads, new intake and some longtubes how does that sound? I would appreciate any feedback you guys could give me.

348 to the wheels with that set up is ridiculous. id tell that guy to bow down.

Just in case i read it wrong- he has 351 heads, correct? Not a 351. I must save as much face if im wrong

Yeah he said he has 351 heads. I figured this guy was a little off with his numbers, because he also said that with a new intake and if he put his dry system on it it would run high tens in the quarter.

You have to run a 302 close to 6500rpms to make 350+rwhp N/A. Those stock 351 heads and stock intake wont allow for peak power that high.

So is it possible for a 302 to make 350rwhp NA with good heads a decent size cam, and all the boltons?

It is possible to make 350 plus hp with a 302 but that would be flywheel hp not rwhp, the best I could do without power adder was 310 and that is here in huntington beach below sea level and cool air. Real world numbers would be around 290 - 300 max, and I squeeze that out at 6200 rpm. So no is your answere to the 348 myth . Squeeze it or blow it and its easy.
