I just finished installing an Auto Meter wideband, and the optional brown wire is suppose to go to a WOT wire. I wired it up to the center wire on my TPS thinking it was the correct one, but my car idled high so I disco'd it. I'm just wondering which wire I'm suppose to connect it to. It is a 99 GT. Also, is it suppose to be more accurate with that wire or should I just leave it disco'd?

Per the instructions, the Brown wire is to be grounded when pedal is at WOT. Attaching this to your TPS will mess up the function of the TPS.

If you want the function of the WOT trigger, it will be necessary to install a separate micro switch that will supply a ground signal at WOT.

The purpose of the WOT wire is to activate a special alarm and data logging capabilities when at WOT. It will not improve the accuracy of the meter itself.
