Well, I can't seem to figure out what the problem is here. I swapped a 88' motor/trans(5 speed), etc... into my 95' that used to be a v6/auto. Well, I got it running and driving suprisingly very well right now. Sorscode wired it up for me. But there are still a few problems. It's running very rich, people say I have small black clouds when I step on it. And it smells extremely gassy. Another thing is a little bit of hanging idle. When pushing on the clutch, it want's to stick around 2k or so....this problem may not be there anymore though, because I just cleaned TB (a little bit, didn't clean it real well) and it doesn't seem to hang quite as bad. So we'll see as time goes by. And the last problem is it doesn't like to idle when it's cold. Since I replaced the IAC it start's/idles alot better though. But it still needs to be warmed up when starting it when it's cold, otherwise it won't idle. Now, I already pulled codes awhile back, and replaced coolant temp sensor, and then I replaced IAC, then deleted codes and check engine light hasn't came back so far. But I still have these problems. Any ideas guys?!

How many miles were on the 88 motor before you put it in? You could try changing the MAF, IAT, and O2 sensors. Or maybe you just need a new fuel pressure regulator.

Well he said when he steps on the pedal, which I assume he means WOT. So I would start w/ your maf/iat/ect first.
