Here is a few pics of what the rear end going into the fastback looks like. Should be in by tomorrow Monday.

Specs: 8.8, 10 steel clutch posi, 28 spline, big vented lincoln brakes, SVO t/a girlde, and 3.73 gears. Yup all new and from a good friend except for new rotors , calipers, and girdle.

I was going to use a 94 cobra brake set up that I picked up but when I price quoted a set of rotors I quickly went for the lincoln set up that was on hand also. I couldn't even buy 1 rotor for what I had spent on both lincoln's.

Yeah just a lil but it has cost me a few days of helping him around the shop and doing some digging around his house. I did it to learn but this is what it got me woo hoo.

I just got back from my trig exam Sal, so being as I'm still in math-mode here, let’s do the math.
67 Fastback + blown 4.6L DOHC + T-56 + 8.8 girdle 3.73 =
Can't argue with mathematical logic can we?

What housing is that? Did you redo the brackets? How did you remove the 4 link brackets? Or was it a leaf spring rear end? I have a fox rear that I am putting in my '67, just curious.

I first practiced on a bent cobra housing with a blow torch and grinder noticed I still need more practice as I was blowing holes into the housing LOL so I let my friend do it.

So yeah just a blow torch then grind. Weld in some perches 43 inches part center to center and your set.

There's more to it than just welding the spring perches on, you have to also make damn sure the pinion angle is also correct, when setting it up. Fostang, that rear looks almost exactly like the one under my 89 Ranger, except for the discs.Mine's got a Summit girdle though. Same gears.
