Hey guys. As you know I am selling my car. To dial it in right I would have needed cats (less stink and for emissions), a smaller cam (more street) and go BACK to 3.55 gears because they were perfect (for me). I have already put too much into the car and it had to stop though. It is kinda tough getting used to anything with less power.

My new mustang is a 06 gt VERT black on black with 17k miles. Its nice but will take some getting used to. Like today, some lady in a mark VIII was riding my tail so I slowed down a bit and then hit it in 4th...prolly shoulda hit 3rd but whatever. I pulled away from her fer sure but man..I am used to BLAM!!!!! Shotgun away in the 414 like flicking an ant-> see you in the next GALAXY! ...not in this thing.

So I then realized I am driving a "cruisers" car. Its more refined but I also realize all the suspension work I did made a huge difference. With subframes, TB plates/welds/springs/etc..The 414 drives like a coupe compared to this new GT I am driving. It doesnt do bad in the turns. The quality of the interior materials seems better on the '94 too. I feel like with this new car ,I could rip the shifter AND the handle right off with ease. I feel like I could punch the dash and BREAK it. Not that I am going to.

So I've got 3 more days and I could turn this '06 back in. But then I would have to change out the cam on the 414 for daily driver, put another intake on it, get cats and probably change the tune a bit...I just had no idea the quality work thats been done on the old GT and what a difference it made.

Im biased but keep the 94 I know I am. I really dont like the new mustangs too much. Dont know about the 5.0 but for sure the 4.6.

Keep the 414. It will save you money and a cam swap takes a weekend. Everyone and their sister has an SN197.

Dont worry it has a good home now. Im biased to the 94 as well but its one of those gut feeling kinda things as far as what you decided to do

well, there is no replacement for displacement. you know i love my 95, but those new 5.0s are pretty freaking sweet. i'm not so sure about the 3 valves though.

here are some things i would try to consider ...

- would you want to drive the 94 every day if you fixxed those things?
- what about the difference in gas mileage?
- given how much you would (will) drive each of them, what makes more sense (gas mileage wise)?
- how does the insurance cost compare?
- or does gas mileage or insurance not really matter enough to consider?
- if you kept the 06, how long would you last before breaking down and starting modding it?
- after all is said and done, would you be better off financially keeping the 94 and doing the fixes you need to do, or selling it and staying with the 06?

sorry, i have more questions than answers ... but maybe your answers will help you come to a decision you are OK with

If you aren't happy now....you'll never be happy in my opinion. Especially with stuff like interior finish.

Have you considered maybe a G8?

Or maybe just get a cheap daily driver and keep the 94. Perhaps something like a Taurus or a grand prix? Best of both worlds if u could have 2 cars.

dude, i got to say you seem to never be satisfied. half the guys on this forum would kill for the 94 you have now. Granted, we're all biased. the new ones are potent and pretty but they aren't 414 potent. If you can get get the 94 more streetable with a cam, cats, and a tune, why wouldn't you do that before trying to sell it? seems to me its a no brainier but that's just me. i'd try to keep both personally, use the 94 for your whoops-ass car and the 06 for the cruiser/DD toy.

Im not a fan of the newer cars... the verts look shaky. But like you said. you have a hard choice to make.

Id do anything for your car. if this was a few years down the road and my life was in line your car would be mine.

You ever think about a clean 03 cobra vert???
