A little exhaust installation help!?!?

i have flowmaster 40's on my 01 gt, the rest of the exhaust is stock. if i cut out the 40's, will the SLP LoudMouth I mufflers weld into place or will i have to make some modifications?? pics would be helpful. thanks

I dont know the dimensions of the Flows, but the SLP resonators are 18" long, and have center inlet/center outlets, which are 2.5" . The stock tubing is off-set inlet/outlet, which are 2.25" if I remember correctly. Not saying it cant be done, but it probably wont be a straight forward swap.

If you had the flowmaster catback it will be alot easier, because then your inlet/outlet size is 2.5". If you have weld ins, its the stock 2.25". Probably the only thing you should really have to do (assuming the inlet/outlet dimentions are the same), is cut the exhaust tubing at an angle so you can run the SLP mufflers, wich are basically just resonators. It will basically be like welding in a straight section of tubing instead of mufflers.
