Well, I pretty much spent the entire weekend with a Ford GT. Met up with the chassis designer friday afternoon, went to dinner in the evening with him, the designer of the Miata/RX-7, and some other VIPs, then saturday was the big show, and this morning was the last time I saw the GT. So I decided to snap up some pics with the car this morning. Quite a weekend. I felt pretty attached to the car after 3 days.

Pretty nice little car...for a Ford. :nice:

BTW: #8 is a pretty cool pic.

It is funny how un-aerodynamic the 60s mustangs were when you look at a GT like that.

Beautiful cars, both of them.

I want a ride in the GT.

All you have to do is get the $500,000.00 for your car, and you could BUY a couple. ;)

Very nice car indeed. Did you get any seat time?

I'll disagree. The '60s cars aren't as aerodynamic as THAT car, but compare his fastback (which I have had the pleasure of riding and and well...just damn) to say...an '84 Ford Escort. Or really even a new Crown Victoria.

I got seat time, as in I got to sit in it while it was running. ;)

It was raining and snowing all weekend, so it would have been pointless to get a ride.

Funny thing was that by the end of this weekend, i got tired of the car. I saw it so much, it just became another car. Oh well.

Did the Chassis Designer mention that Ford has recalled all the GT40's for cracks in various suspension pieces? Amazing.....

Its a GT not a GT40. In fact, ford never called their original car a GT40. It was something the press came up with.

Yes, I asked him about that. He was the one who made the recall. He did the chassis, suspension, pedals, steering, brake and tire packages, etc...

He also has patents for the chassis designs on various other cars like the F-series trucks, Jag S-Type, Lincoln LS, and most of the Aston stuff.

*cough* Snowing? I was working all weekend and I remember no snow. In fact I remember some nice weather on Sunday. But then, I was out in Smyrna, not Atlanta all 15 minutes away. :D
