www.summitracing.com is a pretty popular place to order stuff from. Their prices are pretty reasonable, huge selection of stuff and their shipping is great. Check them out and www.jegs.com is another big wholesaler but I havn't done any business with them yet. Also consider that you are gonna be using a bit more gas with any increase in power so if you are on limited funds... just a thought.

The F4B is supposed to be a great intake. A used 4bbl carb shouldn't cost too much. You will need intake manifold gaskets, carb base gasket, and RTV as well.

Well, I have learnt better than to challange your beliefs Oz. Is that an official census result? It would seem the few that have been done all end up here then, by some coincidence.

Yea probably so. I think there is more talk of doing them, than have actually been done. But I have nothing but human nature to back up that hypothisis.

I've actually seen my share at shows and stuff. Seen even more small block cars become big block cars.

My first engine project was converting a 69 coupe 250 3spd to a 302 4spd back in about 1979.

Sure, there are car show buffs that have done the shock tower mod to fit in big blocks on 65-66 cars, and maybe even tried to shoe horn in an Allison aircraft engine, , but for the most part, the general population either startes with a V8 car, or is happy to play with an I6. Probably most of the "I want to change my 6 banger to a v8" crowd on here are the majority of the the dreamers because they have heard that those guys and gals on Stangnet can tell you how to do it. Then you have to factor out the teen crowd whose cash flow isn't as big as their dreams.
