Ill jack it up and check again!!
maybe inside hatch?
Maybe under car????

i had a horrible rattle coming from the hatch, turned out to be that plasic cover that goes on the bottom of the hatch, it was loose, i stuffed some foam behind it and problem solved.

When its at a low rpm do u hear it?My exhaust is touching the frame and it rattles at a low rpm like 1grand-1700. Its tight but it just rattles. My dad's friend welded them and he move them around so it would be easier to weld :bang: and put them right up against the frame..

I just gutted the entire rear of the car: Back seat, spare tire and components, all carpet, all hatch trim and panels. I still have the rattle! I adjusted the bumpers but if I raise them anymore, I can't close the hatch. I can close the hatch and make it rattle with my hand while its closed. I'm guessing a new hatch latch would be the way out for me......anyone want to donate to my cause?

We can use my car as the test dummy. First lets replace everything that might cause rattles. Next lets try to test a new set of gears in the back......I'll even accept donations towards a decent H/C/I setup.

Check the latch striker for the hatch. It should have a plastic sleeve that goes around it. Those break off and make the diameter of the striker smaller, causing the latch to rattle around on it.
