A new smog standard in California for classics?

Wow it's been a while since I've last posted.....

Anyway, Im in Japan (Air Force has me tied up) and my old 70 Grande is in storage. I know this isn't really technical oriented, but can anyone fill me in on what I've heard Arnold has done to put some form of smog test on cars 30 years and older? News is tough to track down on through states and I figure I can get it easier through the horses mouth right here.

Ok, good to hear the cutoff wasn't as far back as I had heard rumors say they were. I caught bits and pieces of it possibly going as far back as 66, but I couldn't get the bare facts. I appreciate the heads up.

6Stang7- Home is located on the bottom half of the island. Past park street basically. With a little luck you may drive past my project and not realize it unless you were looking for it depending on what street you were on.

Note: If you see a clean 97 Cobra around for sale for 11K, it's a solid deal. I can't use ther car for another 2 and 1/2 years. It's my second car that I shouldn't have bought, but worth it's value all the way due to the time I had put into it refurbishing everything.
