Let me see all of your pictures of gauges mounted in the gauge cage in the vents and gauges on the A-pillar. I want to order them tonight or tomorrow. Give me your reasons why you chose what you did. Any replies welcome.:nice:

I put them up on the A-pillar so that they are in my line of sight while looking out the windshield, cause it safer, I watch them alot! Install was a bit of a PITA, but they are manual. I will snap a pic and show you where I put them exactly.

I don't have a pic, but I have the guage cage that goes in the vent. I still have the vent functional, and it still works good even with them being there. Reason I picked it? It is very easy to wire that right there(radio) and its still easy to glance at while driving. Another reason I picked that is because those are for my water temp and oil pressure guages. The A-pillar one is being saved for boost and egt!

Hmm keep em comming. I like the looks of both too. I also like having my boost guage and oil pressure in front of me. With my fuel pressure outside. I just havent decided yet and thats whats holding me back from ordering.

Guys, I guess I am going to go pillar now then I could always add some to the vents later.

Do you all say get the full pillar or just get the one that bolts on?

Also, my tach is a Ultra-Lite..do you think I should get the Ultra-Lite gauges to match or what? I also have white face gauges and A/C gauges.

Dave

I dont have pics but I have both vent gauges and pillar gauges. To get the vent gauges to look good I had to do a little work on it. The dash pad is rounded but the gauge plate is flat so I put it in a vise and made it match the shape of the dash. The gauges don't fit flush on the plate so I put some black paint behind the ring of the gauges to hide the silver on the outside of the gauges so it would blend in. I also painted the gauge plate to match my interior. Now it looks like it came from the factory with gauges in it.

I like the full pillar personally, looks like factory and if you ever need to get rid of them due to a full cage your factory piece isn't screwed up :nice:
Very true. I think I will buy the full pillar, it should be a lot better looking.

Now, do you think the Ultra-Lites would be best since I have a Ultra-Lite tach or what colors do you all suggest.
