A squeaky wheel

I have a rear wheel in my 96 coupe that squeaks like crazy but wheel i apply the brake it stops sqeeking what could that be a berring or does it need to be lubed its driving me crazy please i need some advice on what to do

Um....have you checked the brakes to see if they need to be replaced?

the brake pads look good they have alot of life left to them.

if the pads werent installed right they could be vibrating. Bearings will give you a hum that wont go away.

hey

i have a cuz of mine that is a expert on stang comming by to check it out hopefully its not a expensive fix.

its squeaks only when im not applying the brake and it doesnt stop unless i apply the brakes.

the pads are still in some contact with the rotor when then brakes arent applied. When you apply pressure the squeaking will stop because youre stopping the vibration

so its a strong possibility its just the brakes on that side. or is the possibility of the baring goin out or needs to be replaced

I'll guarantee that is the brake pads on that side.

i think i will try checking out the brakes on that side and replace and repair what i need to do. I must say thankyou i really appreciate ur help and thnk god for this forum site. Gotta love mustangs this is my second mustang

My brakes squeaks only on the rear driver side with and without applying the brakes...I have even replaced the pads that still had a lot of life left on them and they will stop squeaking for about 30min of in-town driving then start again...any ideas of what to do next?

Maybe you should check one of the u joints, or a problem with the rotors?
