Just bought a '97 Cobra w/56K miles for a hobby. Taking care of a few odds and ends and have a question about chasing a power door lock issue. Remote works OK as does the inside switches and the key. Problem is that while the passenger side works fine, the driver side actuator seems to be dead . So, I just replaced it with no luck. I also checked all the fuses and all connections appear to be secure as well. Could the master door lock switch be faulty? Thanks for any suggestions/help!

Does it latch with the control in the door?

Yes, that works fine....I replaced both the door switch and regulator and the driver door will still not lock/unlock except with the key?

No, as I tried to explain......the key locks/unlocks the driver door fine and the interior/exterior door handles work as well. The passenger side works 100%....key, handles, interior switch and remote. So, it appears that there is no power getting to the driver side actuator. I checked connections through the door and wiring for breaks etc. Any idea where I might check for continuity under the dash?

What I meant was the power lock switch in the door. What you are saying is nothing under power works for the drivers side.

If you have changed the actuator and door switch my guess is the problem is still in the door somewhere. If you can get the passenger door to lock with the driver side electric then that is OK. I wouldn't think the issue would be in the dash since that works. Do you have a voltage meter?
