I did an A9L conversion and im very happy with it. Before doing this mod I had all kind of Idle problems and it got worse as I started improving the intake and fuel delivery. The car used to shut off it would die at lights etc. Since the A9l conversion I've had no problems, and I even picked up some horsepower. But most importantly no more idle problems it idles like a baby. I went through pro-m and bought the whole kit computer and all. I spent right under $500 bucks. If I had it to do over I would have bought the A9l computer off of ebay and just bought the conversion kit from Pro-M, probably would have saved $100 bucks but I was too frustrated at the time to care.
Here is how this works I thought this thing was going to come with a harness and be plug and play, not so. You will use the harness in your car. The kit will come with detailed instuctions on what needs to happen. Some of the pins in your harness will need to be removed and relocated and some will just need to be removed period. The kit comes with a fan control box which will need to be spliced into the harness. It sounds a little intense but its really not that bad. Was it worth it, hell yes. Haven't had an idle problem since and I can run pretty much whatever cam and heads I want.
Two things
The kit says you need a small screw driver to remove the pins. NO you need a jewlers pick. Those pins are small and a screw driver can't get in there to release them.
And second to do this mod you need a little patience and follow the instuctions to the letter. Be sure to solder all splices and you should have no problems, you don't want to have to troubleshoot this dude.
